Colour Copying & Digital Printing

Colour Copying & Digital printing is probably one of the fastest changing parts of the printing industry, and as with our Black & White Copying we have been keen to offer the very best value possible with 12p per copy (Minimum order value £5.00, printed on white A4 100gsm paper, subject to VAT where applicable.) Our Canon colour digital copier is also networked and enables us to print from a customers PDF. Our colour digital printer has an online booklet maker, very useful for price lists, brochures and programmes. Our Oki digital printer driven by its Harlequin RIP compliments our range of colour digital equipment offering exceptional alternatives to conventional printing. Short run full colour printing has never been so easy and affordable.

AdobeOur standard printing file format is PDF (Portable Document Format), which offers high quality prints with full compatibility. If you would like us to produce a booklet for you we would be pleased to discuss the best way to save the document.

A few helpful pointers when saving files for digital output are, firstly please leave a 8mm margin clear of print all round leaflets & pages of booklets. If necessary we may have to reduce artwork supplied to facilitate this requirement.

When saving PDF files please ensure that any images are at least 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch) to avoid poor print quality, low DPI will result in blurred and poor quality images on the finished print. Please bear in mind that images from the Internet are usually 72 DPI. It is often a good idea to save text/monochrome at 1200 dpi to ensure the very best output from your file, to ensure text is definitely reproduced as in your document it is suggested that under the objects heading in the publish to PDF settings, export all text as curves is ticked.

Computer screen colour is created from Red, Green and Blue, (RGB). They work together to create bright, vibrant colours. Colour printing uses Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black, (CMYK). CMYK is used in printing to create the complete spectrum of colour, plus contrasts, tones and half tones. Please ensure that any colour images in your file are converted from RGB to CMYK, having done this do not worry if the image does not look as vibrant on your monitor, it is just a precautionary measure needed to ensure your job will be printed to its full potential.
